June Damin, 80, of 345 Mill Road, St. Johnsville, passed away on Thursday October 7, 2004. She was born May 8, 1924 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Richard Burdell and Bessie (Lindsley) Reed. June was a graduate of Mayfield High School, and for many years, has been a resident of the St. Johnsville area. Her marriage to Peter Damin took place on October 30, 1949 in Gloversville. The couple shared a blessed union of marriage for 54 years until the passing of Mr. Damin on October 21, 2003. June was last employed as a Registered Nurse at Little Falls Hospital. She was a member of the Grace Congregational United Church of Christ and the Oppenheim & St. Johnsville Senior Citizens. Survivors include her sons: Mark Damin of Johnstown, Alan Damin and wife Karen of St. Johnsville, and Glen Damin and wife Mary of St. Johnsville; a daughter, Lisa Harvey and husband Bob of St. Johnsville; 2 sisters: Audrey Canary and husband Donald of Gloversville and Carmel Young of Klarissa, Minnesota; her grandchildren: Jason, Peter, Adam and Betty Damin, Andrew, Kathleen and Tyler Damin, many nieces, nephews, cousins and one Aunt. She was pre-deceased by her brothers: Duwayne, Clayton and Richard Reed. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 12, 2004 at 11:00 AM from the Smith-Woody and Enea Funeral Home, 9 Center Street, St. Johnsville, with the Reverend Wayne Cole, pastor of the Grace Congregational United Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will follow at Mayfield Cemetery, Mayfield, NY. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Monday October 11, 2004 from 5-8 pm.
