Mrs. Elizabeth M. "Bette" Dudeck, age 82, of 2555 Southside Road, Frankfort, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday afternoon, June 5, 2004 with her loving son, daughter and family friends at her side. She was born on June 17, 1921 in the Town of Warren, daughter of the late Frank and Tillie (Kowaliewski) Suhocki, and had been a lifelong resident of this area. Bette joined in marriage with Vincent M. Dudeck on June 2, 1945 at Holy Cross Church in Utica, a loving marriage of 41 years until Vincent's passing on August 13, 1986. Bette had last worked with Univac in Utica as an assembler of circuit boards. She was of the Catholic faith and was an honorary life member of the Frankfort Center Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Bette found joy in the sights, sounds, and smells of nature. One of her greatest pleasures was found in cooking as she especially excelled in preparing jam directly out of nature's harvest. Her generous, giving spirit will be dearly missed. She is survived by her beloved children including her son, Gary E. Dudeck of Utica; daughter, Patricia M. Dudeck of Frankfort, with whom she resided; two sisters: Ann Martinez of New York City; and Dorothy Rice of San Dimas, CA; a brother Leon Suhocki and his wife Edith of Richfield Springs; a very special friend, Howard Bowman of Herkimer; several nieces and nephews, sisters in law: Frances Dudeck and Jennie Woloszyn of Utica and Margaret "Peggy" Suhocki of Richfield Springs; and many special friends and neighbors who will forever remember Bette. She was predeceased by a brother, John Suhocki; and sisters: Vi Stone, Lottie Faderwick, Harriet Schooley, and Estelle Ricken. In honor of Bette's wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of the Enea Family Funeral Home, Main Street Between Frankfort & Ilion (894-8000). There will be no public calling hours or services.
