Obituary of Margaret Estey
Mrs. Margaret M. Estey, 88, of 26 Porteus St., passed away on Tuesday morning, August 3, 2004, peacefully in her home. She was born on December 26, 1915 in Stanley, WI, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Janisewski and was educated in Rome schools. Her marriage to Francis J. Estey, Sr. took place on June 13, 1936 in Salisbury. Mr. Estey passed away on December 11, 1977. Margaret was last employed by the former Snyder Manufacturing Company, Little Falls and was a communicant of the former St. Joseph's Church, and more recently Holy Family Parish, Little Falls. She always considered her faith to be very important to her. As a woman who was the center of devotion to her family, Margaret considered her family to be the most important part of her existence. Her philosophy included the steadfast belief that her greatest happiness had its source in being with her family and providing for their happiness and well-being. She loved crocheting, knitting, playing bingo and always enjoyed trips to the Turning Stone Casino. Survivors include three beloved children, Francis J. Estey, Jr. and wife Marie of Little Falls, Doris Waldruff of Newport, and Joyce Gage and husband Charles of Newport, a brother in law, Vernon Estey, Sr. and wife Claire of Little Falls, a sister in law, Virginia Karla of Dolgeville, eleven cherished grandchildren, Michele Florian and husband Manfried, Melissa Dawley and husband Scott, Deborah Ashe, James Suderley and wife Shelby, Pamela Gay and husband Scott, Leanne Waldruff, Virginia Bladek and husband Karl, Cynthia Feane and husband Tom, Linda Klock and husband Tim, Charles Gage, Jr., and wife Candace and Jack Gage and wife Hannah, step grandchildren, Barry, Tom, Tim, Brenda and all of their families, and many adored great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins and was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cathy Suderley, and by two great granddaughters, Kelly Bladek and Kristy Harrington. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls on Thursday, August, 5, 2004 from 5- 8 p.m. Her funeral will commence at 11:15 am on Friday morning, August 6, 2004 from the chapel of the Enea Funeral Home where prayer will be offered by Sister Marilyn Hayes, CSJ and 12 pm from Holy Family Parish, corner of E. Main and John Streets, Little Falls where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor. Procession will follow to Church Street Cemetery, Little Falls where she will be laid to rest with her husband, Francis.
