Obituary of Sara Federico
Sara M. Federico, 89, of 11 Porteus Street, Little Falls, New York, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2004 at Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol, Tennessee. She was born on June 8, 1914 in Little Falls; the daughter of the late Josephine (Barone) and Leonard Tisi. She was educated in Little Falls country schools. Sara was a member of the Holy Family Parish Church and the Holy Family Rosary Society. She was also a member of the AARP in Little Falls and also the AARP Dolgeville Chapter. She was united in marriage to Valentino Federico, Sr. who passed away in 1970. She was last employed by Salada Foods in Little Falls. Surviving are her children, Isabelle Murphy and husband John of Bristol, Tenessee, Valentino Federico, Jr. and wife Mary of Schenectady, Paul Federico and wife Ann of Tuscon, Arizona and Leonard Federico of Glendale, Arizona; one brother, Ben Tisi and wife Ferne of Little Falls; four sisters, Nancy Coffin and husband Ed of East Herkimer, Ida Rich and husband Anthony of Little Falls, Mary Raiello of Little Falls, and Rose Perkov of Texas; eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Catherine LaPorta, Genevieve Lorenzoni, and Philena Coffin; one brother, Orlando Tisi; along with her two grandchildren, Lynne Marie Murphy and David Federico. The funeral will commence on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at 10:15 a.m. from the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe Street, Little Falls, and at 11:00 a.m. from the Holy Family Parish Church, corner of East Main and John Streets, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Reverend Anthony Ligato, Pastor. Internment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours which will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2004, from 5-8 p.m. at the Enea Funeral Home. Members of the Holy Family Rosary Society are asked to meet at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m. for services. It is the wish of the family that memorial contributions in memory of Sara be made to Wellmont Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
