Elaine M. Frank, 79, of 4 Church St., Mohawk, formerly of Frankfort died unexpectedly on Friday, July 2, 2004 at home. She was born in Canada, the daughter of Elias and Florence "Amy" (LaFleur) LaFontaine and attended St. Francis de Sales School and Herkimer High School. At one time she was married to Robert Donovan. She later married Joseph Frank, who died several years ago. Elaine enjoyed swimming and cooking Italian food. She also enjoyed going on picnics to Pine Lake and Sylvan Beach. Survivors include her son, Craig Frank of Amenia, NY; special niece, Sharien Wyman and her fiancee Patrick Phillips of Utica; two sisters, Georgette Conroy of Herkimer and Lorraine Treen of FL; three grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Eugene Donovan and her sister, Carmen LaVine. Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at the Applegate & Day Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion, and 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Church, Herkimer. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer. There are no calling hours. All funeral and burial arrangements were entrusted to Don Applegate of the Applegate & Day Funeral Home.
