Edward Henry Goralski, 87, of 40 Averill St., St. Johnsville, passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2004, at Little Falls Hospital. He was born August 13, 1916, in Nanticoke, Pa., the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gus Goralski. Ed was a graduate of Nanticoke High School and Ithaca College, and had been a resident of St. Johnsville since 1956. Mr. Goralski was a World War II Army veteran, enlisting on September 8, 1942, and was honorably discharged on November 17, 1945. He was last employed as an instrument music director for the St. Johnsville Central School District. Survivors include his sister-in-law, Josephine Tuthill and husband Ernest Q. of West Hartford, Conn.; two nephews, John Tuthill and wife Beth of Cumberland, Md., and Peter John Blodgett of Los Angeles, Calif. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 27, at 6 p.m. from the Smith-Woody and Enea Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, with Sister Johanne McCarthy of St. Patrick's Church officiating. There are no calling hours. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton, Pa. All memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Church, St. John's Reformed Church or to S.A.V.A.C. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
