Eric L. Horning, 27, of Mohawk, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, April 14, 2004 in Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown. He was born on February 14, 1977 in New Milford, CT., the son of Daniel J. Horning. He has been a longtime resident of Mohawk and was last employed with White Glove Cleaning, Ilion and was at one time employed as a roofer. Eric's centered his life around being outdoors. He especially enjoyed fishing, snowmobile and 4-wheeling. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his father Daniel J. Horning, Sr., and wife Jean of Mohawk, his guardian mother, Alma Hysack of Herkimer, his great grandmother, Alice Cameron of CT., a daughter Makenzie and a son Connor Allan, sisters, Debbie Keeler and husband John of Mohawk, Diane Cable and husband Richard of CT., step brothers, Kenny Schorer of Mohawk, Brian Hysack and wife Brenda of Herkimer and Everett who resides in CT, step sisters, Andrea Lasher and husband Leland of Herkimer, Brenda Parr and husband Richard of Louisiana, Wendy, Tina, Cindy, Bonnie, Debbie and Barbara, all who also reside in CT. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by a step brother, Raymond Hysack and by his mother Gail Horning. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home, Main St. between Ilion and Frankfort, (894-8000) on Saturday, April 17, 2004 from 10-11 a.m. His funeral will commence on Saturday morning at 11am in the chapel of the Enea Family Funeral Home. Captain P.B. Stetser and Captain Becky Stetser of the Salvation Army will officiate. Interment will be held later this spring in Frankfort Center Cemetery.
