Obituary of Mary Jacopelle

Mrs. Mary S. Jacopelle, 87, a longtime resident of Frankfort, and most recently a resident of Prindle Apartments, 80 East North Street, Ilion, passed away on Wednesday morning, April 7, 2004 at Mohawk Valley Nursing Home in Ilion. She was born on June 8, 1916 in Utica, daughter of the late Francisco and Maria (Cocciardi) LaPolla and was educated in Utica schools. Mary was married to Charles Kershaw and later to Charles Jacopelle, both of whom preceded her in death. She had been a resident of Frankfort for many years. Mary last worked with Univac and was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church in Frankfort. She is survived by her daughter: Rosemarie Tobin and her husband Leonard of Scottsdale, Arizona; a son Charles H. Kershaw and wife Marguerite of Utica; grandchildren: Major Mark Tobin (US MARINE) and wife Jennifer and Anna Marie Hackett and husband James; three great grandchildren: Natalina Marie, Schamus, and Tobin. Mary prearranged her wishes with the Enea Family Funeral Home, Main Street Between Frankfort & Ilion. Her wishes were to have no public calling hours and to be buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, Clinton, of which will be honored. A memorial month's minder mass will be offered in her memory on Saturday May 1, 2004 at 8:30 AM at Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort. Friends are invited to attend. Those wishing are asked to contribute to the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home in her memory. Envelopes are available at the funeral home (894-8000).
