Obituary of Shirley Jasewicz
Mrs. Shirley H. Jasewicz, age 68, of Little Falls, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 28, 2004 in her home with her loving family at her side. She was born on November 14, 1935 in Cooperstown, a daughter of the late Leland and Isabelle (Seamon) Miller and was a graduate of Richfield Spring High School, Class of 1954. She was united in marriage with Donald T. Jasewicz on October 22, 1955 in St. Mary's Church, Little Falls. He passed away on November 13, 1976. Her last professional association was with Little Falls Hospital and she continued to volunteer at the hospital since her retirement. Survivors include seven beloved children, Darlene Marino and husband Robert of Longwood, FL., Donna Dodge and companion Rodney Hayes of Little Falls, Donald T. Jasewicz, Jr. and wife Cathy of the town of Manheim, Andrew Jasewicz and wife Robyn of East Herkimer, Stephen Jasewicz and wife Anne of Little Falls, Thomas Jasewicz Salisbury Center and Beth Jasewicz and Kenneth Stevens, Jr. of Little Falls, a brother Donald Eckler and wife Ethel of Jordanville, sixteen cherished grandchildren and two adored great grandchildren. Also surviving are two special friends, Betty Marino and Rudy Lorenzoni. She was predeceased by a son, Joseph Jasewicz. Shirley was an exemplary wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother, one who was devoted to her loved ones and involved in their lives. Whether it was a member of her family or someone in need, she always ready to lend a hand to anyone who sought or needed assistance. This was one of her personal qualities that made her well liked especially by the staff and patients at the Little Falls Hospital. In her spare time she enjoyed search word puzzles. Her legacy will be carried on in her children and grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to visitation at the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls on Monday (today) from 5-8 p.m. Her funeral will commence at 11 am from the chapel of the Enea Funeral Home, Little Falls with Sister Marilyn Hayes, CSJ, of the Holy Family Parish, Little Falls, officiating. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer where she will be laid to rest.
