Obituary of Leona Kieloch

Leona L. Kieloch, 87, a long time Little Falls resident, passed away on Wednesday September 22, 2004 at the Loretto Home in Utica, NY after a short illness. She was born October 27, 1917 in Little Falls, the daughter of the late Delavin Peck and Dorothy (Winkel) Wright. Leona was educated in Little Falls schools. Leona was first married to Harry Semit who preceded her in death in April 1972. She was later married to Michael Kieloch who preceded her in death on July 22, 1996. Mrs. Kieloch was last employed at the Little Falls High School. At one time, she worked for the former Little Falls Felt Shoe Company. Leona was a member of the Little Falls Baptist Church. With family as her foremost priority, Leona proved herself as a loving and caring mother and grandmother. An active woman, she enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening in her leisure and she enjoyed reading and was very fond of writing poetry. Survivors include a daughter, Dawn Staring of Little Falls; 3 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins; Robert W. Greif and wife Norma and family and David M. Greif and wife Tomyko and family. She was pre-deceased by a sister Esther Greif and 2 brothers: Monroe and Walter Wright. Memorial service will be held on Saturday September 25, 2004 at 11:00 AM from the First Baptist Church in Little Falls with Reverend Donald Dixon, pastor, officiating. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in the Church Street Cemetery, Little Falls at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Enea Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street, Little Falls, NY. All memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the First Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the Church service.
