Obituary of Igino LaBruzzo

Mr. Igino C. LaBruzzo, 80, of 3755 U.S. Highway 20, Richfield Springs, passed away on Tuesday morning, April 13, 2004 peacefully in his home with his family by his side. He was born on July 22, 1923 in Brooklyn a son of the late Lucio and Mary (Genco) LaBruzzo and was educated in Pine Bush, NY. On November 21, 1948 he was joined in marriage with the former Virginia Viola in Brooklyn, NY. They were blessed with a loving and devoted union filled with mutual companionship throughout the 54 years that they shared together. He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Richfield Springs. Igino enjoyed a number of leisure activities: he was an avid gardener, enjoyed flowers, models and traveling. Most importantly, Igino was a man who felt fatherhood was his greatest honor and his deepest joy in life; he carried on his dedication into succeeding generations through relationships with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was ever mindful of the special occasions in the lives of all his loved ones. Survivors include his beloved wife Virginia of Richfield Springs, three children, Marisse VanCauwenberge and husband Rene of Richfield Springs, Gino LaBruzzo and wife Donna and Thomas LaBruzzo and wife Sara, all who reside in Richfield Springs, a sister, Elvira Martell of Long Island, a brother in law, Vincent Viola and wife Frances of Norwich, eleven grandchildren, Michele, Melissa, Gino, Joseph, Anthony, Theresa, Sean, Matthew, Francine, Justine, and Jacob, two great grandchildren, Joshua and Tyler, a god child, Emily K. Amore, three nieces, two nephews and many cousins. Visitation at the Enea Family Funeral Home, Main Street between Frankfort and Ilion will be on Thursday (Today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. His funeral will commence at 9 am on Saturday morning from St. Paul's Church, Bullville, NY with the Rev. Pat McGuigan, pastor, officiating. He will be laid to rest in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Middletown, NY. Contributions in Ingino's honor may be made at the Enea Family Funeral Home, Frankfort/Ilion.
