Mr. Dominick LaPone, 87, a lifelong Little Falls resident, passed away on Thursday afternoon, October 7, 2004 in Little Falls Hospital. He was born on March 26, 1917 in Little Falls a son of the late Salvatore and Elizabeth (Morlando) LaPone. His marriage to Susie Lawson took place in November of 1946. Mrs. LaPone passed away on December 14, 2002. Dom was a carpenter by trade and served our country with the United States Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Holy Family Parish, Little Falls and the Little Falls V.F.W. Survivors include two brothers: Anthony LaPone and wife Shirley of Ilion and Joseph LaPone and wife Una of Herkimer, nieces and nephews including Kim Richardson and husband Gary of Georgia, Roy Richie and wife Rosanne of New Jersey and Nicholas Richie of Florida. Dom was predeceased by two brothers, Adam and Carl and four sisters, Dellina, Kathryn, Mary and Angelina. The family invites relatives and friends to a graveside service which will commence at 10am at St. Mary's Cemetery on Tuesday, October 12, 2004. Full military honors will be accorded. In lieu of floral offerings, kindly consider memorial contributions to the Herkimer County Humane Society; envelopes will be available at the service on Tuesday morning.
