Obituary of Elizabeth Leskovar

Elizabeth (Ribnikar) Leskovar, 89, a resident of Van Allen Nursing Home died peacefully Friday, December 10, 2004, with her family by her side. She was born April 13, 1915 and was a lifelong resident of Little Falls. Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Alvin in 1982 and her brother and sisters, John Ribnikar, Ann Ribnikar and Susan Ribnikar. She was employed by Allegro Shoe in Little Falls for many years and was, along with her husband, involved with the boy scouts. Survivors include her sons: Robert Leskovar of Little Falls, Victor Leskovar of Oppenheim, and Fr. Richard Leskovar of Delmar; her daughter-in-law Bernadette Leskovar of Little Falls; Amy Leskovar of Oppenheim; her grandchildren Jennifer Leskovar of Little Falls, Christine Leskovar-Famulare and husband Rev. Joseph Famulare, and her great grandchildren John Hai Famulare and Emily Leskovar. Elizabeth was the center of the family, and she will be greatly missed. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Funerl Home, 24 W. Monroe Street, Little Falls on Monday December 13, 2004 from 5-8 PM. Mrs. Leskovar's funeral will commence at 10:15 am on Tuesday December 14, 2004 from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered by Sister Marilyn Hayes, CSJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am from Holy Family Parish Church, corner of East Main and John Streets, Little Falls. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer where she will be laid to rest. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Marvin S. Rabinowitz, Deborah Grega, and the staff at Van Allen Nursing Home for their kind, compassionate care given to Elizabeth over the past two years.
