Obituary of John Lincourt
John Joseph Lincourt, 73, of 127 Circle Dr., Little Falls, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2004, at his home with his family by his side. He was born June 20, 1930, in Fall River, Mass., the son of the late John T. and Delia (Godin) Lincourt and was educated in Fall River schools. For 11 years, he resided in St. Johnsville before moving to Little Falls in October of 2003. His marriage to J. Faith DeVarnne took place on October 26, 1962, in Connecticut. For many years, John was a self-employed contractor working throughout the valley. At one time he along with his wife Faith owned Spray King Painting Company. Mr. Lincourt was of the Catholic faith. John had a special place in his heart for animals. While residing in the country John and his wife Faith enjoyed raising horses. In his leisure he liked to play pool. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, J. Faith; four sons, James Lincourt of Dublin, Georgia, Carson Lincourt and wife Janet of Ephratah, Barry Lincourt of Albany and Larry Stockwell and wife Tamara of Gloversville; a daughter, Denise Lincourt of Florida; a brother, Raymond Lincourt of Albany; six sisters, Rita Trottier of Florida, Alice Michaels of Fall River, Mass., Mary Leary of Florida, Dorothy Brabant and husband Alfred of New Jersey, Estelle Yousif and husband Raymond of Fall River, Mass., and Florence Helger and husband Carl of Rhode Island; his cherished grandchildren, Jordan "Cowpoke" and Brandon "Sidekick" Lincourt; his great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Noah Norton; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. He was predeceased by his children, Gerald Lincourt, Cecilia Lincourt and Donna Marie; sisters, Matilda Beauliea, Blanche LeVeques and Evelyn Pacheoo; and a brother, Joseph Lincourt. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 20, at 8 p.m. from the Smith-Woody and Enea Funeral. Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6 p.m. until the time of the services. All memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or to Hospice Cares. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. The family would like to express a heart felt gratitude to John's son and daughter-in-law Carson and Janet and his grandson Brandon and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Raymond and Fran for the care and support shown to the family during this difficult time.
