Obituary of Mary Loucks

Mrs. Mary G. Loucks, 93, of Little Falls, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday evening, February 29, 2004 in Little Falls Hospital. She was born on September 15, 1910 in Troy a daughter of the late Joseph and Marcella D. (Cotelli) George. She moved to Little Falls at the age 9 and received her education in Little Falls schools. On October 17, 1931 she was united in marriage to Edward Loucks in the St. Joseph Parish House, Little Falls. He passed away on July 11, 1992. At one time she was last employed by the former Melrose Slipper Company, Little Falls. Her last professional association was with the former Allegro Shoe Company in Little Falls. She was a devoted member of the Holy Family Parish, Little Falls. Survivors include two brothers, Robert George and wife Dorothy of Dolgeville and Raymond George of Little Falls, two sisters, Frances Capece and husband James St. Simmons Island, Georgia and Olga Capece of Fort Plain, in laws, Adolph "Dolph" Loucks, Mary Smith George and Mary Anne George, many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, New York State Trooper John George and Joseph George. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls on Wednesday, March 3, 2004 from 5-8 p.m. Mary's funeral will commence at 10:15 am on Thursday morning from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered and at 11 am from Holy Family Parish, corner of E. Main and John Streets, Little Falls with the Rev. Kenneth Swain officiating. She will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Lupus Association, envelopes are available at the funeral home. The family would like to offer their thanks to Charmaine Dodge and family, Linda and Joe LaValla and Alma Rotiser for their neighborly vigilance. Also a thank you to Renee Rosenburg and Rosalie Derky for their loving care while Mary was at home and Renee and her children for giving Mary's faithful companion, Stormy, a loving home.
