Virginia P. Schiavi, 87 a former Little Falls resident, passed away on Sunday October 3, 2004 at the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home. She was born December 30, 1916 in Cambridge Mass., the daughter of the late Nicholas and Marianne (Monteleone) Servello. Virginia was educated in Cambridge, Mass. and Herkimer schools. Her marriage to Henry Schiavi took place on November 22, 1940 at St. Anthony's Church in Herkimer. Mr. Schiavi passed away on November 26, 1980. Virginia was last employed at the former Leslie Fay Company in Mohawk, retiring in 1983. Mrs. Schiavi was a former member of the Holy Family Parish Church in Little Falls. Survivors include a brother John Servello and wife Carol of Ilion, and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceasd by 2 brothers; Frank and Orlando Servello, 5 sisters; Louise Basil, Ruth Jaworoski, Christine Servello, Olga Eramo and Yolanda Servello. Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 7, 2004 at 9:30 AM from the Holleran - Enea Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer and at 10:00 AM from the Church of Sts. Anthony and Joseph where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Anthony Ligato, Pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
