Obituary of Mary Stabile
Miss Mary F. Stabile, age 94, a former longtime resident of Frankfort, passed away on Monday morning, December 20, 2004 at the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home in Ilion. She was born in Sicily on October 19, 1910 a daughter of the late Antonio & Maria (DiMaio) Stabile (Strabo), and was educated in Frankfort schools. She at one time had worked with Remington Typewriter in Ilion and last worked with P & K Dress Factory in Little Falls as a sewing machine operator. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church in Frankfort, and also was a member of the Frankfort Young At Heart Senior Citizens. At one time she was also a member of the Herkimer Senior Citizens. Most recently Mary lived at the Guy Prindle Apartments in Ilion, and kept active as a member of the Guy Prindle Association. She enjoyed bowling and was very outgoing with her friends and family. She was a kind and generous woman who will be dearly missed by her loving family. She is survived by her sisters: Annette Pawlinga and her husband Louis of Middleville; Madlyn Rella and her husband Edward of Oriskany; Margaret Rella and her husband Anthony of Frankfort; Pearl Rusteberg of Illinois; and Frances "Chick" Irons of Frankfort; and a sister in law: Frances Stabile of Syracuse; and many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Mary Durse; her step father Joseph Durse; sisters: Grace Povia and her husband Frank; Flora Jones and her husband George; Yolantha Speer and her husband John; a brother Anthony Stabile; and her father Antonio Stabile; and a brother in law: Allen E. Irons, Sr. Funeral services will be held on Thursday December 23, 2004 at 10:00 AM from Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort where her Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated. Interment will take place in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frankfort. There will be no public calling hours. In lieu of flowers please considered donations in her memory to the Allen Irons & Dennis McGee Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o Enea Family Funeral Home. Mary's wishes were preplanned under the guidance of the Enea Family Funeral Home, Main Street Between Frankfort & Ilion (894-8000).
