Josephine Taylor, 89 formerly of Galinsky Apartments, Herkimer, passed away on Sunday September 26, 2004 at Valley Health Services. She was born July 18, 1915 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Mary (Donadio) Giachetti and was educated in Little Falls schools. Mrs. Taylor had been a resident of Herkimer since 1984. She was first married to Raymond Borst who preceded her in death. She was later married to William J. Taylor on May 22, 1970 in South Norwalk, Conn. Mr. Taylor passed away on May 2, 1977. Josephine was last employed at the former Allegro Shoe Company in Little Falls. At one time she worked at the former Eastern Footwear. Mrs. Taylor was of the catholic faith. Survivors include 3 sons; Robert Alton Borst of St. Johnsville, Raymond David Borst of Kentucky & Donald Richard Borst of Randall, NY, 2 daughters; Ruth Ann Doxtater and husband George of St. Johnsville, & Mary Lou Kilmer and husband Robert of Rockwood, NY, 3 sisters; Catherine Milette of Pittsfield, Mass., Rose Giachetti of Herkimer & Carmella Paul of Herkimer, several grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews & in-laws. She was pre-deceased by a daughter Norma Jean Putman, 4 brothers; Angelo, Henry, Armond & Joseph Giachetti, 2 sisters; Irene Vogt & Louise Gregg, and a special daughter-in-law; Annette M. Borst. Funeral services will be held on Friday October 1, 2004 at 10:00 am from the Holleran ? Enea Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer, NY. Burial will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Thursday September 30, 2004 from 6-8 pm.
