Mr. Gordon A. "Dusty" VanSlyke, age 54, of 52 Green Street, Morrisville, PA, passed away on Monday October 25, 2004 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA. He was born on January 17, 1950 in Little Falls, NY the son of Alvin and Gladys (Keough) VanSlyke and was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School. He also attended Albany Business College. Gordon joined in marriage with Kathleen McNeil in Colonie, Ny on August 4, 1973. He worked with the New Jersey State Police for the past 20 years and lastly worked as a Fingerprint Processing Technician. He at one time had worked with the FBI. Gordon was of the catholic faith and enjoyed NASCAR. He is survived by his wife: Kathy; one son: Adam VanSlyke of San Diego, CA; his mother, Gladys; one brother: William Van Slyke and his wife Terry of Shelton, CT; nephews: Brian, Eric, and Nicholas, his mother and father in law: Samuel and Nancy McNeil of Greenwich, NY; and a brother in law: Peter McNeil of California. He was predeceased by his father Alvin in 1999. Funeral service will be held on Saturday October 30, 2004 at 12:00 PM from St. Patrick's Church, St. Johnsville, where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Johnsville Cemetery. There are no public calling hours. Those wishing are asked to consider donations in Gordon's memory to the American Cancer Society.
