Richard E. "Ricky" Waterbury, age 41, of 123 N. Litchfield St., Frankfort and most recently a resident at Valley Health Service, Herkimer passed away peacefully on Monday morning, May 3, 2004 at that facility, following a brief illness. He was born on August 22, 1962 in Salisbury a son of Ernest Waterbury who resides in Utica and the late Nora (Vineyard) Waterbury. Ricky received his education in Herkimer schools. He was last employed with Interstate Window Washing in East Herkimer and was of the Protestant Faith. He enjoyed membership with the Herkimer Elk's Lodge for almost 20 years. In his leisure time he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He leaves his father, Ernie Waterbury and wife Patricia of Utica, two brothers, Randy Waterbury and wife Lori of Herkimer and Robert Waterbury, two nieces, Alyssa and Nora Waterbury and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Vistitation at the Holleran-Enea Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer will be held on Wednesday May 5, 2004 from 5-8 p.m. Ricky's funeral will commence at 10 am on Thursday morning from the chapel of the Holleran-Enea Funeral Home, Herkimer with the Rev. Patti Lawrence, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Herkimer, officiating. Procession will follow to Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer where interment will take place. Contributions in memory of Ricky may be made to the First Baptist Church, envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home. The family would like to offer their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at Valley Health Services for the wonderful care given to Ricky during this difficult time.
