Mrs. Clarice K. Wells 91 of 72 Steele Avenue Gloversville and a former Dolgeville resident died Saturday December 18, 2004 in St. Mary's hospital, Amsterdam of natural causes. She was born in the Town of Salisbury, on November 6, 1913 the daughter of Jessie D. and Anna I. (Miller) Austin and was educated in rural schools, and graduated from Dolgeville High School. She continued her education by graduating from the New York School of Cosmetology. She was predeceased by her husband William Wells. Mrs. Wells was employed by Macy's of Albany in the Cosmetology and beauty area for many years. Previously she operated a beauty salon in Dolgeville. She was of the Methodist Faith, and personally enjoyed knitting and especially her dog "Zeus". Surviving her is a son and daughter in law Daniel K. and Nancy Green of Dolgeville, her grandchildren and their wives- James K. and Donna Green with whom she lived in Gloversville, Daniel K. Green Jr. of Dolgeville, Kenneth R. and Nicole Green of Hudson, N.H., and Susan Green of Waltham, Mass, a great granddaughter Amy White. Friends of the family are invited to a Memorial Service on Monday December 27, 2004 at 11 AM at the Roberts - Buck Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville. Burial will be in the Salisbury Rural cemetery in the Spring. There are No Calling hours. Mrs. Wells may be remembered with a contribution to the Herkimer County Humane Society.
