Obituary of Vincent DeSimone

Mr. Vincent P. DeSimone, age 74, of Little Falls, beloved husband of Kathleen DeSimone, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday evening, May 18, 2003 in the Albany Medical Center following an illness. Mr. DeSimone was born in Fulton, NY on August 19, 1928 a son of the late Paul and Josephine (Bonanza) DeSimone. When he was a young boy his family moved to Syracuse then to Brooklyn where he received his education. He attended college on Long Island. On September 24, 1971 he was united in marriage with the former Kathleen Grillo in Brooklyn, NY. Vincent and Kathleen were well-suited to one another and shared a loving relationship throughout their 32-year union. Vincent proudly served his country with the 81st airborne division of the U.S. Army. He was last employed as co-owner of the Motronics Corporation in the Industrial Park in Little Falls. He retired at age 58. He was a member of the Little Falls American Legion, Post #31. He was a communicant of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls. Vincent was dedicated to his family and to his role as a loving husband and father. He enjoyed the times he spent at his camp on Keyser Lake and loved to work around the camp. He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his family. He leaves his beloved wife Kathleen of Little Falls, a son, Mark DeSimone of Bayside, Queens, a brother, Paul DeSimone of Chicago, two sisters Ann Ivers and husband Chuck of Staten Island and Rose Porter of Syracuse, and many inlaws including Bruce Grillo of Little Falls who was very special to Vince. He was predeceased by a brother and two sisters. There are no calling hours. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St, Little Falls. Interment will be held privately at the family's convenience. The family offers its sincere thanks to their neighbors for the compassion shown, especially mentiong Joe Vogt wife Faith, and Jack Regan and wife Marion.
