Obituary of Anna DiBitetto

Anna A. DiBitetto, 88 a native of Little Falls, and more recently residing at the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2003 at Little Falls Hospital where she had been residing in the Residential Healthcare Facility on the fourth floor. Anna was born on April 17, 1914 in Little Falls a daughter of the late Angelo and Nicolina (Ferraro) DiBitetto and received her education in Little Falls Schools. She was last employed by the former Allegro Shoe Corporation, Little Falls. She was a communicant of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls. Anna was a loving sister and aunt who truly enjoyed spending time with her loved ones. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting and was an accomplished baker. Survivors include two loving sisters, Filomena DeLorenzo of Little Falls and Mary Celio and husband Thomas of Little Falls, nieces and nephews including, Joe DeLorenzo, Joanna VanGorder and husband David, Barbara Ortlieb and husband Larry, Thomas Celio and wife Karen and Mike Celio and fianc? Emma Ahmetovic. Also surviving are many cousins. She was predeceased by one sister, and a brother in law, Peter DeLorenzo. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls on Friday, March 14, 2003 from 5-8 p.m. Anna's funeral will commence at 8:15 am on Saturday morning from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered by Sister Marilyn Hayes, CSJ thence to Holy Family Parish, corner of E. Main and Johns Streets, Little Falls where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Charles R. Celeste, pastor. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer where she will be laid to rest. Contributions in honor of Anna may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to a charity of one's choice, envelopes are available at the Enea Funeral Home. The family would like to offer their thanks to the staff of the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home in Ilion and to the staff of the Little Falls Hospital for all of the tender love and care shown to Anna and her family during this difficult time. Members of the Holy Family Parish will gather at the funeral home at 6 pm on Friday evening to conduct their service and will form an honor guard at the funeral mass on Saturday morning.
