Obituary of Norman Gray

Norman Gray, 52, of 23 Center St., Fort Plain, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2003, at St. Luke's Hospital, New Hartford. He was born February 13, 1950, in Fort Plain, son of the late Clarence and Jennie (Armstrong) Gray. Norman was educated in Canajoharie and St. Johnsville schools and lived all his life in the Fort Plain area. He was last employed at Pro Applicators in Canajoharie. Mr. Gray was of the Methodist faith. Norman was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying riding his bicycle around town and playing sports with his nieces and nephews. Survivors include one brother, Daniel Gray and wife Patricia of Fort Plain; two sisters, Beverly Myers and husband Jay of Palatine Bridge and Marilyn Williams and husband Ralph of Dolgeville; several half-brothers and half-sisters; many nieces, nephews, cousins and four aunts and one uncle. He was predeceased by one half-sister and two half-brothers. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 31, at 7 p.m. from the Smith-Woody and Enea Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, with Deacon Darlene Spaulding of St. John's Lutheran Church, Hallsville, officiating. Interment will take place in the spring at Freysbush Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 p.m. until the time of the services.
