Obituary of Robert Healey

Mr. Robert "Bob" Healey, age 81, of 628 E. John St., formerly of 9 Danube St., entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 in his John St. residence. Bob was born on February 21, 1922 in Little Falls, a son of the late Bernard and Maud (Christie) Healey and was educated in Little Falls schools. He married Adele R. Terzi in September of 1947; she passed away on April 10, 1995. Mr. Healey served our country with the U. S. Airforce enlisting on July 27, 1942 and was honorably discharged on January 9, 1946. He served in the China, Burma and India conflicts and was the recipient of the American Service Medal, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He was last employed with the Adirondack Bat Company and was a member of the American Legion Post #31. Bob was a member of Holy Family Parish. He was also an amateur boxer. Survivors include a son John Healey and wife Elizabeth of Little Falls, four daughters, Diane Healey of Utica, Palma Carney and husband Richard of Jordanville, Marie Healey of Maryland, and Christina Tumski and husband Mike of Little Falls, four brothers, Edward Healey and wife Helen of Ilion, Albert Healey and wife Doris of Salisbury Center, Bernard Healey of Ilion and Jeremiah Healey of Louisiana, a daughter in law, Tina DeRosa Healey, seven grandchildren, Mike Krasko and wife Stacey, Vicki Long and husband Josh, Debra Lynch and husband Brian, Brenda Carney, Christi DiNardi, Jonna Healey and Joseph Paracka, nine great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two sons, Joseph and Robert Healey, three brothers, Richard, Danny and Jimmy Healey and a sister, Helen Borst. There are no public calling hours. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a graveside service that will be held at 9 am at St. Mary?s Cemetery, town of Herkimer on Saturday, July 26, 2003 where full military honors will be accorded. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Enea Funeral Home, Little Falls.
