Obituary of David Palmieri

David A. Palmieri of Herkimer, beloved son of John and Toni Palmieri, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Sunday afternoon, November 30, 2003 at the age of 32. He had the love and support of his family at his bedside at the time of his passing. He was born on November 16, 1971 in Herkimer a son of John and "Toni" Palmieri who reside in Herkimer. He graduated with the Herkimer High School, "Class of 1990" and received a bachelors degree from SUNY Utica. He was last employed as a design engineer for Saturn, Franklin, Tenn. David was a member of the Church of Saints Anthony and Joseph, Herkimer. Gifted with a kind heart, a considerate and thoughtful nature, and a caring manner, he was sensitive to the needs of others and unselfish in tending to them. All in all, David was a man who possessed a deep appreciation of all that life offered him, as well as a hearty enjoyment of its many blessings and a treasury of precious memories. He was a bright young man who always enjoyed putting his computer skills to work. David will be sadly missed and forever remembered in the hearts of his loved ones. He leaves his beloved parents, John and "Toni" Palmieri of Herkimer, three close brothers, John Palmieri of Herkimer, Donald Palmieri of Herkimer and Robert Palmieri and wife Mary also of Herkimer, two nieces, Ashley and Makayla Miller, many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, John and Mary Palmieri and his maternal grandparents, Anthony and Mary Petucci. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family at the Holleran-Enea Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 from 5- 8 p.m. David's funeral will commence at 9:30 am on Wednesday morning, Dec. 3, 2002 from the Church of Sts. Anthony and Joseph, South Main St., Herkimer, where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Robert Shinos, pastor, thence to Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer where he will be laid to rest. Kindly consider contribution's in honor of David to MOVAC or to the American Diabetes Association, envelopes may be obtained at the Holleran-Enea Funeral Home or in the church vestibule on Wednesday morning. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Little Falls Hospital and at Bassett Healthcare for their kindness and compassion and also to MOVAC for their professionalism shown.
