Obituary of Mary Pliszek

Mary N. Pliszek, age 80 formerly of Mohawk entered into eternal rest on Monday morning, May 26, 2003 in Mohawk Valley Nursing Home, Ilion. She was born on November 19, 1922 in Herkimer a daughter of the late Andrew and Melia Pliszek. She received her education in Herkimer schools. She was last employed with the Empire Diner in Herkimer. She was a communicant of Sts. Anthony and Joseph,' Church, Herkimer. Mary enjoyed crafts and puzzles and she will be dearly missed by her loved ones. She leaves one brother, Tom Pliszek and wife Pearl of Ilion, a sister in law, Regina Pliszek of Herkimer, a special aunt who raised Mary, Helen Poznoski of Mohawk, many cousins including, Diane Cherry of Mohawk who Mary resided with, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Poznoski, a special uncle, Stanley Poznoski and a special cousin, Joseph Cherry. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday morning, May 30, 2003 from 8:30 to 9:30 am at the Holleran-Enea Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer. Mary's funeral will commence at 9:30am on Friday morning from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered and at 10 from the Church of Sts. Anthony and Joseph's, South Main St., Herkimer where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Robert Shinos, pastor. Procession will follow to Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer where she will be laid to rest. The family would like to thank the staff at Mohawk Valley Nursing Home for their tender love and care given to Mary and her family.
