Obituary of Steve Yaworski

Mr. Steve E. Yaworski, age 83, formerly of 10 Woodside Ave, Little Falls and a recent resident of Folts Homes, Herkimer passed away on Monday, January 6, 2003 in Little Falls Hospital after an extended illness. Steve was born on January 7, 1919 in Little Falls, a son of the late John and Anna (Burch) Yaworski. He was educated in Van Hornesville schools. In April of 1942 Steve was united in marriage with the former Cecilia Przbylek in Little Falls, a union of over 50 wonderful years until her passing. Steve served his country with the United States Army enlisting July 10, 1942 and was honorably discharged on October 16, 1945. He was last employed as a carpenter with the Carpenters Union Local #120 of Utica where he was employed for 55 years. He was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, Town of Herkimer. He was a life member of the Little Falls Polish Community Home, Little Falls American Legion Post #31, and was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. He served as secretary and treasurer with the Carpenters Union Local #521 at one time. He is survived by his beloved daughter Jean Svirsky and husband Allan of Milford, Conn, sisters, Katherine Sadlon and husband Paul of Little Falls, Joan Wilson Loiacano of Little Falls, Helen Sadlon and husband Steve of Ilion, Nancy Hugick and husband Bernie of Jordanville, brothers, Michael Yaworski and wife Georgia of PA., Walter Yaworski of Jordanville, a cherished grandson, Scott Svirsky of Boca Raton, FL., a brother in law, John (Scotty) Ostascz of Little Falls, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Ann Ostacz, Mary Valentine and Olga Pavlot. Friends and relatives are invited to pay their respects at a graveside service that will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2003 at Sts. Peter and Paul Orthodox Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Full military honors will be accorded by the United States Army. Kindly consider remembrances in honor of Steve to the Sts. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, envelopes may be obtained at the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls, which is handling the funeral arrangements.
