Mrs. Mary L. (Litto) Zuccaro, a lifelong resident of Little Falls, wife of the late Harold Zuccaro, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning, December 10, 2003. She was born on May 24, 1923 in Little Falls, the daughter of the late Stephen and Josephine (Spine) Litto and graduated with the Little Falls High School, Class of 1941. On November 24, 1946, Mary was united in Holy Matrimony with Harold Zuccaro in St. Joseph's Church, Little Falls. The couple enjoyed a blessed union of 32 years until Mr. Zuccaro's passing on June 9, 1979. Their greatest joy and deepest pride resulted from the blessings of family, especially their children and granddaughters. At one time, she was employed with Little Falls National Automotive Fibres as an inspector. A longtime parishioner of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls, Mary was a woman of deep spirituality who expressed her steadfast and loving faith through prayer and dedication to the church. Gifted with a kind and understanding heart, a sensible and forthright manner, and a wonderful sense of humor, she served as a very special confidante to her loved ones and friends, always offering her remarks and advice with honesty and directness. She was a woman of energy and perseverance, one who motivated and inspired all those within her company and influence. Some of her most joyful and memorable occasions were spent in the company of her former classmates when they met for lunch. Mary was a proud Italian and always incorporated her heritage into many parts of her life. She enjoyed Italian dishes, especially sausage and peppers. The " South Side " in Little Falls always held a special place in Mary's heart and she cherished the memories that she shared with her family and friends there. She enjoyed the beauty of the outdoors especially during the fall when the leaves changed colors. As a huge Frank Sinatra fan, she was extremely fond of the song "New York, New York" and enjoyed listening to his music. Mary will be remembered and respectfully recognized as the matriarch and organizer of her family as well as a true and dedicated friend.
