Obituary of William Feeney

Mr. William Michael "Micky" Feeney, age 76, formerly of Little Falls and most recently of 1231 Barringer Road, Ilion, passed away on Saturday evening, Oct. 5, 2002 at Folts Home, Herkimer, with his family at his bedside. Mr. Feeney was born on Aug. 23, 1926, in Little Falls, a son of the late Gerald and Dahlia (Hartman) Feeney and attended St. Mary's Academy. He was married on Nov. 29, 1947 in New York City to the former Vivian V. Stewart who passed away on Feb. 15, 2001. He was last employed with Mohawk Central School retiring at the age of 62. Mickey proudly served his country with the United States Navy in World War II and served in many Pacific campaigns including the battle of Okinawa. He was honorably discharged on May 1946. He leaves his son, Michael Feeney and wife Debra of Little Falls; two daughters, Linda Jones of Little Falls and Diane Hawkes and husband Frank of Mohawk; five grandchildren, Robby Jones, Steve Hawkes and wife Lynne, Micky Jones, Patrick Feeney and Kaitlin Feeney. He was predeceased by a son-in-law, George Jones. Mr. Feeney will be laid to rest in Mountain View Memorial Gardens and services were held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were entrusted to The Enea Funeral Home of Little Falls.
