Obituary of Paul Gorski

Mr. Paul J. Gorski, age 82, of 188 Pine Grove Rd., East Herkimer, husband of Ruth Gorski passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, December 29, 2002 at Folts Homes, Herkimer. Paul was born on December 20, 1920 in Herkimer a son of the late Frank and Frances (Slyvanic) Gorski and received his education in Herkimer schools. On September 8, 1951, Paul joined was united in Holy Matrimony with the former Ruth Piper at Holy Spirit Polish National Catholic Church, Little Falls. The couple recently celebrated 51 years of marriage. Throughout their 51 years they provided each other steady companionship and loyalty to one another. Professionaly, Paul was last employed with Remington Arms, Ilion. He retired after 35 years of loyal service. He was a member of the Holy Spirit Polish National Catholic Church, Little Falls. Paul's first priority in life was his family, and he proved to be a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, fulfilling each of these roles with loving warmth and great success. He gave his love unselfishly to his family and friends and truly enjoyed the time he spent in the comfort of his home and walking his best friend and canine companion, Rosco. He leaves his beloved wife Ruth of the home address, six loving daughters who he was very devoted to, Rebecca Smith and husband Richard of Arlington, TX., Susan Izzo and husband George of Herkimer, Donna Bonfoey and husband Ron of Eugene, Or., Gina Hazlewood of Marietta, GA., Deborah Palmisano and husband Peter of Utica and Melissa Gorski of Eugene, OR., a brother, Edward Gorski and wife Helen of Herkimer, eight cherished grandchildren, Linda Williams and husband Scott, Adrienne Bonfoey, McKinley Bonfoey, Victoria Palmisano, Victor Hazlewood, Staci Izzo, Shyanne and Alan Cane Gorski, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Funeral Home 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls on Thursday, January 2, 2002 from 6-9 p.m. Paul's funeral will commence on Friday morning, Jan. 3 at 10:15 from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered and 11 am from Holy Spirit Polish National Catholic Church, Gansevoort St., Little Falls with the Rev. Marion Pociecha, officiating. Mr. Gorski will be laid to rest this spring at a time to be announced in Holy Spirit Polish National Catholic Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. The family offers its deepest gratitude to the staff of Folts Homes, Herkimer for their tender love and care that they provided Paul and his family through this difficult time.
