ILION-Mrs. Marie Ann (Drennan) Bradle, 91 a longtime resident of 39 Harrison Ave., Ilion, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, April 5, 2010, at Valley Health Services, surrounded by her loving family. Marie Ann was born April 19, 1918 in Maine daughter of the late James and Marie (Riglets) Drennan and educated in Mohawk schools and also received early education in Detroit, MI. For many years Marie Ann took wonderful care of her family and home. On April 19, 1941, she was united in marriage to Richard W. “Dick” Bradle in Mohawk, NY. They shared a blessed and devoted union of 64 years until his passing on Nov. 16, 2005. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Annunciation, Ilion. Mrs. Bradle centered her life on taking care of her beloved family and tending to the needs of her husband Dick. She loved to cook and share happy memories with her family members. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Marie Ann had a large collection of dolls, a hobby that she loved. She was a huge fan of Terry Fator and even had the opportunity to meet him at the Turning Stone Casino. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Sister Donna Marie Bradle, CSJ of Watervliet, Lorraine Chapman and her husband, Jon of Manlius, Steven Bradle and his wife, Tina of North Carolina, Thomas "Tom" Bradle and his wife, Joyce of Frankfort, Richard "Rick" Bradle of Ilion, Annette Dunn of Herkimer; her cherished grandchildren, Steven Jr., Christopher, Will and Stephanie Bradle, Shannon Costa and husband Robert and Richard Bradle III, Patrick Dunn, Ryan Carpenter, and Jeff Chapman and wife Sandy; her adored great grandchildren: Michael, Joshua, Keely, Braxton, Justin and Samara; a sister: Lucille Drennan of SC; one sister in law, Arthella Hopper of Herkimer; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters: Irene Boyer, Agnes VanDusen and Ann McCann; by a brother, James Drennan, and by in laws: Russell Bradle, Howard "Ike" Bradle, Steven Bradle and Margaret Drennan. Family and friends are invited to visitation Thursday, April 8, 2010, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., between Ilion and Frankfort, 894-8000. Her funeral service will be held Friday, April 9 commencing at 9:15 a.m. at the Enea Family Funeral Home, Ilion/Frankfort and 10 a.m. at the Church of the Annunciation, West St., Ilion where Father Leo Potvin, will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial. Spring interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer. Those wishing to do so may consider memorial contributions in Mrs. Bradle’s memory to the American Heart Association or to the Development office of Sisters of St. Joseph, 385 Watervliet Shaker Rd., Latham, NY 12110.
