ILION - Kenneth “Ken” Humphrey, age 74, of 49 W. Rand St., Ilion, died on Friday, May 14, 2010, at Folts Home, Herkimer. He was born on August 20, 1935, in Ilion, the son of Fred and Florence (Baker) Humphrey. Ken was a graduate of Ilion High School in 1953, MVTI, Utica, Utica College, and attended HCCC. He was a veteran, and served in the US Army. On August 8, 1959, he was married to Barbara Worden in Ilion. Mr. Humphrey was an engineer at General Electric Co. for thirty years in the Aerospace Division, retiring in 1991. After his retirement, Ken and Barb enjoyed spending time at Myrtle Beach with close friends and family. Survivors include his wife, Barb; mother-in-law, Mildred Worden, of Ilion; one daughter, Linda Mishalanie, of Sauquoit, NY; three sons and three daughters-in-law, Timothy and Kimberly Humphrey, of Rockford, MI, Scott and Carolyn Humphrey, of Marcy, NY, and David and Tara Humphrey, of Lewisburg, PA; eleven grandchildren, Chandler and Nicole Humphrey, of MI, Brady, Ryan, Evan, Abigail and Jillian Humphrey, of Marcy, NY, and Gabrielle, Jacob, Delaney and Olivia Humphrey, of PA; one brother and sister-in-law, LeRoy and Doris Humphrey, of Ilion; three nieces; one nephew; and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents. Funeral Services will be held 6:30 p.m., Monday, May 17, 2010, at Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion, with Rev. Janet Gleason, Pastor of First United Methodist Church of Herkimer, officiating. Interment will be in Armory Hill Cemetery, Ilion. Visitation will be on Monday, May 17, 2010, from 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
