ST. JOHNSVILLE- Mr. Albert Castrucci, 61, of W. Liberty St. passed away unexpectedly after a hard, valiant fight on May 27, 2010 at Little Falls Hospital. Albert was born on April 12, 1949 in Little Falls, son of the late Joseph and June (Woodard) Castrucci. He was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School and attended Hudson Valley Community College. Albert was a very kind, generous gentleman who was well respected in the community. He was past Assistant Chief and current Council Member of the St. Johnsville Fire Dept. He was also a member of the St. Johnsville Masons. Albert was a 3rd generation owner of Amy’s Sales and Service in St. Johnsville, running the business since 1975. He was an avid racing fan and in the past had been a modified stock car driver for many years. Survivors include his lifetime partner Lois Thomas; his brother James and his fiancé Susan Eissler of St. Johnsville and his sister Eleanor of Gloversville, several cousins, special friend and longtime employee Jay Myers III and many, many friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville from 5-8pm on Tuesday June 1, 2010. A Masonic service and Fire Department service will take place during calling hours.A religious service will take place at 8pm Tuesday night at the conclusion of calling hours with the Rev. Kenneth Swain officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Albert’s name be made to the St. Johnsville Fire Dept or to Ayres Animal Shelter.Envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home.
