Obituary of Jameson DeMars

“An angel in the book of life wrote down my baby’s birth…and whispered as she closed the book “too beautiful for earth”. ILION-Baby Jameson Hunter “Sassy Pants, Hulk” DeMars, 16 days old, became an angel on Tuesday evening, July 20, 2010 in Crouse Irving Hospital, Syracuse surrounded by his loving family and friends. Jameson was born on July 4, 2010 in Crouse Irving Hospital, Syracuse son of Jesse and Richelle DeMars of Ilion. Survivors include his loving family; his twin brother: Jake Brady; his parents: Jesse and Richelle DeMars of Ilion; paternal grandparents: Dennis “Jake” DeMars and wife Helen "Stella" of Herkimer; paternal great grandparents: Rosamond Doxtater of Herkimer and Madeline DeMars of Herkimer; maternal grandparents: Todd Smithson and wife Vikki of Ilion; maternal great grandparents: Janet Patterson of Ilion and Robert and Mary Jane Smithson of Ilion; aunts, Nancy Budney, uncles: Justin Smithson, Jeff and Jennifer Mower and Kelly DeMars along with many other extended family members, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear family friends. Jameson was preceded in death by his maternal great grandfather: Claude “Chick” Patterson and paternal great grandfather, Leo “Bucky” DeMars. Even though our litle angel was here just a short time, he moved mountains. He brought people together through prayer and touched the lives of people he never even had the chance to meet. His family will forever be closer and stronger for sharing his life. Jameson took a piece of us all with him, and we will always have a piece of him in our hearts. Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Baby DeMars’ life on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 12 noon with the Rev. Thomas Lawless, officiating at Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., (town of Frankfort), Ilion (894-8000). Calling hours will take place from 10 am -12 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home. Please omit floral offerings and kindly consider memorial contributions to the March of Dimes or the Ronald McDonald House; envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home. Interment will take place privately in Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer. A sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses at Crouse Irving Hospital whose care and friendship was a wonderful source of support for the entire family. Also, a special thank you to the NICU and the 8th floor for their kindness and compassion. The family is also grateful to the many relatives and friends for the outpouring of support during this difficult time. Arrangements are in care of Daniel J. Enea, funeral director.
