LITTLE FALLS- Mr. Alexander "Big Al" Daniell, 69, of State Rte 5, entered into eternal rest on August 26, 2010 at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Hartford with his loving wife at his side. He was born on February 15, 1941 in East Meadow, New York, son of the late Alexander and Mary (Clifford) Daniell. On July 13, 1963 he was united in marriage with Theresa M. Driscoll in Brooklyn, NY. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy and was also a member of the U.S. Army National Guard. His first and foremost priority in life was his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was loved greatly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him especially his children. He especially loved his best pal Elmo, his chickens and his birds. He was a former owner of Valley View Bar and Restaurant in Little Falls. His favorite dinner was big ones and little ones. Survivors include his beloved family : his wife Theresa; his daughter Colleen Harroun and her husband Ron of Flanders, NY, his son Alexander Thomas Daniell Jr and his fiancé Annette O’Rourke of Flanders, NY,his daughter Kelly Daniell and her fiancé TJ Podlas Jr. of Little Falls; and his son James Michael Daniell and his wife Pamela of Flanders, NY; his grandchildren Alex III, Stephanie, Ron Jr., Benjamin, Seth, Kimberly, Amanda, Emily, James Michael, Molly Alexander, Andy-Lynn and Gavin; his brothers Dan Daniell and his wife Kathy and Peter Daniell and his wife Joan; his sisters Barbara O’Neill and her husband James and Elizabeth McDermott and her husband Billy and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In keeping with his wishes there are no calling hours. The family is being cared for by the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls, NY.
