Obituary of Olga Bavaro

Herkimer: Mrs. Olga Bavaro, 85, of N. Washington Street, passed away in St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center on Wednesday evening, October 20, 2010. Olga was born on May 3, 1925 in Herkimer, a daughter of the late John and Mary Kalynycz. She married Sam Bavaro, who passed away in 2002. Olga was employed for twenty-five years as a medical records transcriptionist at Herkimer Memorial Hospital. She was of the Methodist faith. Olga is survived by a daughter, Dawn Roher and her husband Wayne of Columbia, MD; two grandchildren, Eric and Kelsey Roher; 2 brothers, Walter Kalynycz and his wife Chris of Herkimer and John Kalynycz; a brother-in-law, Dominick Cecconi of Little Falls; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Sam, a brother, Peter Kalynycz and three sisters-in-law, Sadie Cecconi, Felicia Lombardo, and Mary Kalynycz, and a brother-in-law, Daniel Lombardo. In keeping with Olga’s wishes, there are no scheduled services. Those wishing may make contributions in Olga’s memory to the CNY Affiliate of the Susan G.
