Obituary of Carol A McCumber

LITTLE FALLS-Mrs. Carol A. (Konik) McCumber, 67 of West Monroe Street, entered into eternal rest on Friday evening, October 29, 2010 in her home. Carol was born on June 22, 1943 in Kingston, daughter of the late Roberta Mae (Davis) Nocera & John Konik. She graduated from Little Falls Jr. & Sr. High School with high honors and furthered her education attending Cortland College. In 1965 in Little Falls, she was united in marriage with Roger David McCumber a blessed union of 20 years until his passing in 1985. Carol cleaned many houses and businesses for 21 years prior to retiring. She was of the Presbyterian Faith. Carol loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, reading, watching movies, crossword puzzles, baking and knitting. Survivors include her beloved family; her companion of 26 years, Robert Terzi of Little Falls New York; Michael A. McCumber, of Little Falls New York, Colleen E. Polenski, of Schuyler New York, Dawn M. Reed and husband James Christopher of Evans, Georgia and Gail A. Weedmark and husband William of Old Forge, New York; her siblings: Barbara Konik of Lake Ron Kon Koma, New York; Richard Konik of Woodland Park, New Jersey; Michael Konik of West Babylon, New York, William Konik of Las Vegas, Nevada and John Konik of Rochester, New York; her cherished grandkids: Alexandria M. McCumber of Old Forge New York, Collin R. Weedmark of Old Forge New York, Andrew Scanlon of Little Falls New York, Kaylin Scanlon of Little Falls New York, Alexa McCumber of Onieda New York and Jacob N. Reed of Evans Georgia; an adored great granddaughter: Taylor Z. Scanlon of Little Falls New York; many nieces, nephews and cousins and a special friend, Terry Scanlon of Little Falls. Besides her husband: Roger D. McCumber she was preceded in death by two sisters: Suzanne Monihan, Mary Reisert a brother: Robert Konik; her mother: Roberta M. Nocera; her father: John Konik; her step father: Anson Nocera and by her grandson: Connor McCumber. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe Street, Little Falls on Thursday, November 4, 2010 from 5-7 p.m. Carol's funeral will commence at 7 p.m. also on Thursday evening, from the chapel of the funeral home with Jon Noble, pastor of the First United Presbyterian Church, Little Falls, officiating. A burial will take place at a later date in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills with her beloved husband, Roger. Kindly consider memorial offerings to the American Heart Association; envelopes and donations may be made at the funeral home. The McCumber family is being cared for by funeral director, Daniel J. Enea.
