ILION-CLYDE - Margie June Sedore, age 84, of Manhattan Ave., Ilion, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2011, at home, with her loving family by her side. She was born on August 15, 1926, in Whitefield, NY, the daughter of Roland A. and Flaudy (Furman) Gardner. On December 3, 1944, she was married to John F. Sedore in Galen, NY. He died on June 6, 1967. Margie was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church, Lyons, NY. Survivors include her children, Sharon Hitchner, Barbara Smith and her husband, Rodney, and Patricia Davis and her husband, Robert, all of Savannah, NY, Linda June Scott and her husband, Rev. Rocky, and Donald Sedore, all of Florida, Kathy Wildey and her husband, Jeff, with whom Margie resided in Ilion, and Karla Sedore, of Ilion; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Winifred Pitzeruse, of Lyons, NY; her brother, Raymond Gardner and his wife, Catherine, of Clyde, NY; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and step-daughter, Beverly Davis, of Virginia. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; her sister; several brothers; four sons, John, Stephen, Randy and Robert; and a special partner, Leo Mander. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, March 5, 2011, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion, with Rev. Roger Bottrell, Pastor of the Maranatha Baptist Church officiating. Spring burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, North Ilion. Visitation will be held Saturday from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m., prior to the funeral home services. The Sedore family requested all service arrangements be entrusted to Don Applegate, Funeral Director.
