Obituary of Lillian Linney

ST. JOHNSVILLE- Mrs. Lillian Marie Keba Linney, 81, of West Main St. entered into eternal rest on Friday October 14, 2011 at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown. She was born on October 2, 1930 in Hicksville, Long Island, the daughter of the late Joseph and Eva (Moskey) Keba. On June 27, 1953 she was united in marriage with Robert Linney at St. Patrick’s Church in St. Johnsville. Their loving union lasted 30 years until his passing in February 1984. She graduated from St. Johnsville Central School in 1948. Lillian worked at Beech-Nut Nutrition Company for over 30 years until her retirement in 1995. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Fort Plain American Legion Auxiliary as well as the St. Johnsville Fire Dept. Auxiliary. She was also a Cub Scout Den Mother. She is survived by her children: Elaine Linney of St. Johnsville, Michael Linney of North Carolina, Pamela Gauthier and her husband Jeff of Mohawk and Robert Linney and his wife Ileen of St. Johnsville; her grandchildren: Ashley, Jack and Krista Linney of North Carolina, Eric Bayes and his wife Megan of Massachusetts, Andrew Gauthier of Mohawk, Caitlin Gauthier of Mohawk, Greg Gage of Caroga Lake, Kayla Linney of St. Johnsville and Robert Linney Jr. of St. Johnsville; her great grandchildren: Aiden and Parker Bayes of Massachusetts; her brother William Keba and his wife Joan of Fort Plain, her sister Irene Mesmer of Florida, her sister in law Anna May Linney of Mohawk, her uncle David Keba of St, Johnsville and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 from 5-9 pm at The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville. A religious service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 9:30 am with Rev. Dennis Murphy officiating. Procession will follow to St. Johnsville Cemetery where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband. The family is being cared for by John P. Lewandowski, Funeral Director.
