LITTLE FALLS: Mrs. Agnes Marie (Franchi) Liscio, 44 Hancock St., Little Falls, N.Y., died Feb. 16 at the Alpine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness. She was 85. Born March 17, 1926, she lived her entire life in Little Falls. She was the widow of Patsy A. Liscio, to whom she was married for nearly 60 years. She was the daughter of Dominick and Rosa Franchi of Little Falls. Mrs. Liscio attended the city's public elementary schools before joining the workforce at a local dress factory. Following her marriage in 1947, she spent many years caring for her ailing parents. When they passed, she began work as a tea packer at the Salada Tea plant in Little Falls, a job she held for many years. Mrs. Liscio was one of 12 siblings, most of whom were born in Italy and perished in the great influenza epidemics that swept Europe. Mrs. Liscio was known for her generosity. She was a gold-ranked American Red Cross blood donor, a longtime communicant of the former St. Joseph's Church and later the Holy Family Parish. She was also a member of the Rosary Society. She loved to read, enjoyed cooking for her family, sitting beside the ocean in Massachusetts, swimming in her niece's pool and, occasionally, four-wheeling the fields along Burt Road in Marianne Graziadei's ATV. She was always up for an adventure. Her meatballs, breaded veal cutlets and pasta fagioli were legendary. She leaves a son, David Liscio, of Nahant, Mass.; daughter-in-law Christine Liscio, also of Nahant, Mass.; a grandson, Zachary Liscio of Washington, D.C., and granddaughter, Juliana Liscio. She is also survived by sisters Caroline Salarpi and Stella Gamberdella, both of Little Falls; brother-in-laws Lido Salarpi and Michael Liscio of Little Falls, and Rocco Liscio of Herkimer, N.Y.; and sister-in-laws Lena Liscio of Little Falls and Susan Barone of Highland, N.Y. In addition, she leaves nieces Linda Salarpi, and Michelle Trzepacz and husband Paul of Little Falls, Bernadette Roberts of Nashua, N.H.; and nephews Nick Liscio of Herkimer, Richard Gamberdella and Michael Liscio Jr., both of Little Falls, and Robert Gamberdella and wife Dorinda of Pittsfield, Mass., Dr. Eugene Barone and wife MaryBeth of Omaha, N.E., and Alan Barone and wife Lisa of Highland, N.Y.; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Friday, February 17, 2012 from 5-7 pm at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe Street, Little Falls, N.Y. Her funeral services will begin with prayer at the funeral home at 10:30 am on Saturday, February 18, 2012, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 am, celebrated by the Reverend Thomas Lawless in Holy Family Parish Church. Procession will then follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer, where she will be laid to rest. The family is being cared for by Harry J. Enea, Funeral Director.
