Obituary of James Trask

GLOVERSVILLE- Mr. James "Jimmy" A. Trask, 57, passed away on February 18, 2010 at Nathan Littauer Hospital. He was born on July 14, 1954, son of the late James Andrew and Orvetta (Judy) Trask. James was a dishwasher at Truck Stop of America in Fultonville for 15 years until an injury left him unemployed. He also worked for many years in Lexington's Sheltered Workshop. James was a friendly and gentle man who enjoyed a lighthearted conversation. He enjoyed fishing, and liked word search books, planning outings and listening to country music. He liked going on picnics and helping out, especially in the garden. James enjoyed watching television. He enjoyed nature shows, sports, old TV shows and game shows. He especially loved the New York Yankees. He usually wore a Yankee baseball hat. James enjoyed attending Lexington. Survivors include his sisters: Helen M. Trask of Amsterdam and Rose Traudt and her husband Matthew of Sprakers; his brothers: Billy Trask and his fiancé Kathryn Joyal of Gloversville, Mark Coco of Gloversville and Timothy L. Trask; his 3 nieces: Jessica M. Trask and her fiancé Adam Kilmartin Jr. of Sprakers, Shadoe L. Trask of Queensbury and Nakisha Coco of Johnstown; several aunts, uncles and cousins and his very close friends at Lexington and Lexington Day Hab /Sr. Hab The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville from 4-7pm on Thursday, February 23, 2012. A religious service will be held at the conclusion hours with Pastor Gail Adamoschek officiating. Burial will take place in the spring at Canajoharie Falls Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs at Mountain ViewI II, Cromer Rd. and Indian Rd. for the love, support and exceptional care they showed to James and his family while he was there. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in James' name be made to Lexington. Envelopes will be available at the funeral.
