WEST WINFIELD: Jean K. Wilcox, age 90, a resident of the Masonic Care Community, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center with the love and support of her family. Born in Richfield Springs on June 17, 1921, Jean was the daughter of the late Jay and Nellie (Haggerty) Knapp. She was a graduate of West Winfield Central School. She was united in marriage to Rodney W. Wilcox and shared over 50 years with him prior to his passing on October 28, 2005. Jean had a love for music and dancing. She also enjoyed cooking and baking and for over 20 years she excelled at selling Tupperware. She made that her career and was extremely successful at it. Jean was a member at Glen Castle United Methodist Church in Castle Creek, NY. Jean is survived by a son, Richard Harter of Madison, NY; her daughters, Patricia Robotham of Mohawk, NY and Cynthia Brown and husband Chris of Arizona; her grandchildren, Debra Lewandrowski, Shonna Bosco, Heather Allen and Sue Zito; four great grandchildren, Clarissa, Edmond, Audrey and Joey; a sister, Vivian Knapp of Utica; a sister-in-law, Margaret Knapp; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Stanley Knapp, a grandson Dickie Harter and a son-in-law, William (Bill) Robotham. The family expresses sincere thanks to the staff of 3B at St. Elizabeth Medical Center for their care and compassion during her time of need. They would also like to thank the staff of Inlet at the Masonic Care Community for their kindness and care for Jean during her time there. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service, officiated by Pastor Hans Drews, on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., (Town of Frankfort) Ilion, NY (315)894-8000. Calling hours will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, prior to the service. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family in the spring at West Winfield Cemetery. In lieu of floral offerings, kindly consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Foundation in Jean's memory. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. The family is being cared for by Harry J.
