Obituary of Catherine Mosenthin

DOLGEVILLE- Mrs. Catherine Verna Mosenthin (Mosenteen) , 90, of Voorhees Rd. passed away on March 9, 2012 at Little Falls Hospital with her loving family at her side. She was born on August 14, 1921, in Little Falls, daughter of the late Jacob and Elizabeth (Dundon) Ganzmann. She attended St. Mary's School in Little Falls. On June 14, 1941 she was united in marriage with Alfred J. Mosenthin. Their loving union lasted 63 years until his passing on October 6, 2004. She was employed by Melrose Shoe, Eastern Footwear and Daniel Green Co. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crafts and latch hooking. She also enjoyed her travels to Alaska and Hawaii. She was especially fond of her special canine companion Sally. She is survived by her sons and their wives: Alfred L. Mosenthin of Dolgeville, Theodore P. and Sandra Mosenthin of Salisbury Center, Kenneth and Barbara Mosenthin of Rockwood and John and Colleen Mosenthin of Dolgeville; her daughters and their husbands: Donna Barto of Horseheads,NY, Elizabeth and Edward Mosenthin-Masi of Alaska and Michelle Mosenthin of Dolgeville; her 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers: Robert Ganzmann and Clayton Ganzmann; and her sisters: Alberta Raymond, Mary "Sally" Urich and Arlouine Ganzmann. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Roberts & Enea Family Funeral Home, 3 Faville Ave, Dolgeville from 3-5pm on Tuesday March 13, 2012. A religious service will take place at the conclusion of calling hours with Rev. Kenneth Sickler of the Rockwood Pilgrim Holiness Church officiating. There will be a celebration of Catherine's life with interment in the spring. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Liu and the staff of Little Falls Hospital for the love and care they gave her.
