Obituary of Norma Stone

Norma Stone, 68, of Dolgeville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving children, March 8, 2012, in St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Norma was born on December 10, 1943, in Little Falls, the daughter of the late Edwin and Helen Shepard Johnson and was educated at Dolgeville High School. Norma was united in marriage to Philip Stone on August 22, 1959,in St. Johnsville. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years on June 11, 2011. Norma was employed as a CNA for many years, at Little Falls Hospital, Little Falls, and Stonehedge Nursing Home, Chittenango. She took great pride in her family and cherished spending time with them. In her spare time Norma also enjoyed cooking and baking. Norma is survived by her children; Robert Stone and his partner, Stephen Alduk of Connecticut, Greg and Amy Stone of Tully, Cynthia and Brayton Mosher of Dolgeville, Laurie and Jeff Gillen of Frankfort and Michele and David Andrew of Solvay; her brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Nan Johnson of Dolgeville; her sisters and brother-in-law, Betty and David Smith of St. Johnsville and Donna Shibley of Ft. Plain; her seventeen grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons, Donald Stone in 1988 and Raymond Stone in 2010 and a grandson, Jason Stone in 1990. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, March 16, 2012, from 3-5 PM at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Town of Frankfort, Ilion. Norma's funeral and interment will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Those wishing may contribute in Norma's memory to the American Kidney Foundation or to the American Diabetes Association. The family is being served by Enea Family Funeral Home.
