Mrs. Jeanette G. Casullo, 85, formerly of 510 Garden St, Little Falls, and most recently a resident at Valley Health Center, Herkimer, NY, passed way at the Health Center with her loving children at her side. Jeanette was born May 17, 1926 in Little Falls, daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Ferraro) Giammaria. She received her education form Little Falls High School. On September 12, 1948 she was united in marriage to Carl P. Casullo in St. Joseph's Church in Little Falls. They shared a wonderful marriage for 62 years until Carl's passing last July 2011. Jeanette was a faithful communicant of Holy Family Parish in Little Falls. She worked for the City of Little Falls Water Department in her early years followed by many years service in the Herkimer County Trust Company until her retirement. Jeanette was actively involved in various capacities for the Little Falls Hospital, the YWCA, The DeCarlo Staffo Post #8, and many functions within St. Joseph's and Holy Family churches. She was an active participant in many other local civic organizations. Although Jeanette's Alzheimer's affliction affected her daily life in her later years, she was always known for her elegance, grace, and loving affection towards all her family and friends. She was especially fond of hosting all her family in her home for holiday gatherings. Survivors include her three children, Bob and his wife Pat Casullo of Syracuse, NY. Carla Lemik and her husband Joe of Rochester, NY, and David Casullo and wife Lori of Little Falls, NY. Seven grand children, Rocco Casullo and wife Vanessa of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Jamie Casullo and fiancee Heather Torsleff of Albany, NY, Renee Milliken and husband Scott of Rochester, NY, Chris Lemik of Los Angeles, California, and Andrew, Jenna, and Sara Casullo of Little Falls, NY. In addition she cherishes her four great grand children, Lexi Casullo of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Brooke, Addison and Kali Milliken of Rochester, NY. Also, she leaves many cousins, nieces, and nephews that she loved and kept in touch with throughout her life. Jeanette is also survived by her brother Robert Giammaria and his wife Clorinda of Herkimer, NY. Also sisters in law, Rosina Scarano of Little Falls, NY and Jean Casullo of Mt. Laurale, NJ. She was pre-deceased by her sister Marie Yanno in 1983. The family will receive relatives and friends at The Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St. Little Falls, NY, on Friday evening March 16, 2012 from 4 - 8 PM. Jeanette's funeral will commence Saturday, March 17, 2012 with prayers offered at 10:15am at the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass, celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Lawless at 11 am at Holy Family Parish Church. Interment will be made in St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. The family would like to give special thanks to all the wonderful and caring administration, staff, employees, and residents of the Valley Health Center in Herkimer, NY, they truly made her later years a comfort.
