HERKIMER - It is with great sadness that Chris and Carrie (Vedder) Marquissee announce the loss of their beautiful baby angel daughter Jenna Amber Marquissee. Jenna, who on Tuesday will be 11 months old, lived on Pine Grove Road in East Herkimer. She passed away Saturday morning, March 24, 2012 at the Golisano Children's Hospital SUNY Upstate in Syracuse, NY. The family is grateful for the care received at the Crouse Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Crouse Children's Center, Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, and the Golisano Children's Hospital. Jenna was born on April 27, 2011 at the Birthplace of St. Luke's Hospital, New Hartford, NY. Her wonderful memories shared with us will remain in our hearts forever. Sharing giggles with her sisters and sharing smiles with everyone. She loved to play under her glow worm play gym and just to be outside in the fresh air in general. She enjoyed dancing to music and liked the crinkling sound of her book and crunchy block. Jenna loved to be read to and to even turn the pages of the book herself. She loved her pacifier and turning it sideways to use as a teether. Jenna's smiles and giggles and twinkle of her eyes lit up the room. Jenna loved everyone and will be so dearly missed by her beloved family including her parents Chris and Carrie; her two sisters Emily and Anna; her maternal grandparents Donald and Shirley Vedder of Stratford; and paternal grandparents Bonnie and Jeff Keller of Herkimer. She also leaves a host of loving family of great grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Family and friends are invited to pay tribute to Jenna and her family. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening March 27, 2012 from 5-7 PM at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Ilion (Main Street Between Ilion & Frankfort). A funeral celebration of the life of Jenna will be held on Wednesday morning March 28th at 10:00 AM from the chapel of the funeral home where reflection will be offered by Rev. Janet Gleason, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church Herkimer/Little Falls. Procession will follow to Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer, where interment will take place.
