Obituary of Lydia M. Krutz

Lydia M. Krutz, 86, of Little Falls, passed away peacefully, March 24, 2012 in St. Elizabeth Medical Center. She was born on June 26, 1925, in Little Falls, the daughter of the late, Domenico and Angelina Alesandrini Marocco and was a graduate of Little Falls High School. On July 26, 1947, Lydia was united in marriage to Edward Krutz in St. Joseph's Church, Little Falls. Mr. Krutz passed away, August 15, 1996. Lydia was a communicant of Holy Family Parish Church, Little Falls and a member of the Rosary Society. For many years, she was a dedicated volunteer for Catholic Charities. Lydia loved cooking for her family and during her free time enjoyed knitting, crocheting and watching the Yankees and Syracuse with her grandsons. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Donald Krutz of Ames, NY, David and Joan Krutz of Little Falls and Darryl Krutz of Ilion; her sister, Clare Kerzic of Little Falls and Antonetta Schaffer of Herkimer; her grandchildren, Joseph Krutz, Rebecca Frye, John Conroy-Krutz, Jeffrey Krutz, Daniel Krutz and Andrew Krutz; her great grandchildren, Timothy Krutz, Bradley Krutz, Hannah Krutz , Alexander Krutz and Lizzie Conroy-Krutz; her sisters-in-law, Doris Marocco and Ludmilla Swietlikowski; several nieces and nephews. Lydia was predeceased by her brother, Lawrence Marocco and her sister, Amelia Collis. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St. Little Falls, Tuesday, March 27, 2012 from 4-7PM. Lydia's funeral will commence Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 8:30am from the chapel of the funeral home and 9am at Holy Family Parish Church, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Thomas Lawless. Interment will be made in St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. In Lieu of flowers, contributions in Lydia's memory may be offered to Catholic Charities. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
