Obituary of Lois Klock

Ovid, NY: Lois (Snell) Klock, 85, of Ovid, NY, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 in Geneva General Hospital. Lois was born on August 11, 1926 in St. Johnsville, a daughter of the late Guy and Olga (Mosenteen) Snell. She attended St. Johnsville Schools and graduated with the Class of 1944. Mrs. Klock lived and worked in St. Johnsville, NY (McLaughlin Insurance) until 1987 when she and her husband of 65 years, Adam Klock, retired to Cayuga Lake near Ovid, NY. Lois and Adam were married on June 15, 1946. They have one son, James Klock, who lives near Ithaca, NY. Lois was a member of St. Johnsville Reformed Church and the Eastern Star. In addition to her husband and son, Lois is survived by her twin sister, Louise Klock of St. Johnsville; granddaughter, Shannon Mazourek and her husband Michael of Ithaca, NY; nephew, David Klock and his wife Sharon of Rochester, NY; grandniece, Laura Klock Herbert and her husband Paul of Boston, MA; and cousin, June Garlock of Middleville, NY. She was predeceased by her parents, Olga and Guy Snell of St. Johnsville and a brother-in-law, Lipe Klock also of St. Johnsville. Lois enjoyed being with friends and family, playing cards, reading, bowling, and traveling. Lois and Adam enjoyed many winters in Florida. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a graveside service conducted by the Reverend Nancy Ryan at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Klock Family Cemetery, 205 Route 67, St. Johnsville. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association, 441 West Kirkpatrick St, Syracuse, NY 13204. Lois' family would like thank the staffs of Huntington Living Center and Geneva General Hospital for the excellent care and kindness extended to her during her illness.
