Obituary of Jane Lynch

Mrs. Jane Lynch, formerly of Herkimer, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012. She was born to Charles and Rose (Drozd) Kuzniak in 1921. She was born and raised in Herkimer, where she graduated from Herkimer High School in 1938. In 2006, she moved to Berryville, Va., to be closer to her family. In 1942, she was married to Paul Lynch, a union that lasted until Paul's death in 1991. Jane was a communicant of the Church of Saints Anthony and Joseph. Trust in God completely was her creed. She liked traveling across the U.S. and visiting her grandchildren, her nieces and her nephews. She enjoyed being in the company of young people and she loved a good joke. She was somewhat bossy, but it was tolerated by her friends and family. She leaves two cherished grandchildren, Sean Lynch and his wife, Kim, of Berryville, Va., and Shannon Lynch Gilliland and her husband, Todd, of Burke, Va. She also leaves a great-niece and nephew that she considered to be her grandchildren, Melissa and Michael Clark, of Baltimore, Md. They have all been very loving and compassionate. She treasured her great-grandchildren, Shelby and Grayson Gilliland and Allie Lynch. They brought much joy into her life. Also, she leaves many nieces and nephews who have always been there for her. She loved them all very dearly. They are family in the truest sense of the word. Especially Barbara and Richard Van Amerongen. of Beaverton, Ore., Micky and Don Shafer, of Ft. Collins, Colo., Rosemary and Joe Kaub, of Columbia, Md., Kathie Wood, of Hatfield, Pa., Joanne Dibble, of Middleville, and John and Rosemary Dibble of Herkimer. Also left behind is a brother-in-law, Ted Bluett, of Parma, Ohio. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul, and her son, Michael. Her funeral will commence on Saturday, June 16 at 9:30 a.m. at Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church on South Main Street, Herkimer, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Thomas Lawless. Interment will be made in St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery in East Herkimer. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either Catholic Charities or Blue Ridge Hospice of Winchester, Va. Envelopes will be available at the mass.
